Everyday Carry Items

Common Sense Items To Carry Everyday with or without a LTC

Concealment Revolver

While many are related and enhance your LTC, CHL, or CCW, many of these items are great even when you can’t legally carry a firearm. While there are countless websites and opinions on items that should be included in your “Everyday Carry,” here are some key items that we recommend. Some of them are self-explanatory, and other items we will go into more details.

Primary and Secondary LTC Pistols

As we always say, “Carry anywhere that you can legal carry. If you can help it, don’t go where you can’t!”

While your Primary or Secondary might not always be on your person together, many LTC, CHL  and CCW carriers do decide to carry both together; however, your secondary might be in your vehicle, or it is what you carry when you can’t carry your primary due to your dress.

iPhone with Headphones

With Smartphone pre-paid plans and payments plans, many can afford them now who couldn't before.

This more than a cell or wireless phone. Today, a smartphone is  a cell phone with the capability to run “Apps.” Not only can you make a phone call, send a text message, but you have the Internet and countless other helpful applications that can be used in time of need.

Tactical Flashlight

Tactical Flashlight

This isn’t a standard flashlight, there are very particular attributes of a Tactical Flashlight.

Just like in the case with the smart phones, not all flashlights are created equal. Often called tactical flashlights, there are certain factors that we are looking for in trying to find just what we need. In fact, you might have multiple flashlights for different situations. Granted, there are pros and cons to using a flashlight in a self defense situations.

Assisted Opening Tactical Knife

Assisted Opening Tactical Knife

Yes, women, this one is for you too, not just the men!

This is a tricky subject since local laws might limit what can be legally carried. Please research your local laws. There are several schools of thought on why you should carry a sharp assisted opening knife. They are spring loaded and can be deployed quickly and one handed. Not only can it be used to help you escape during an attack, they can also be used in a time of need. An example of this is to cut a stuck seat belt after an accident.

Some of them tend to be pretty bulky and difficult to carry, especially with slacks or a suit, however, we have selected a few slim line options for you.

Like any item that you might need in a jam, don’t cheap out. The only thing worse than not having what you need, is having it break on you when you need it!

Personal Protection

Intermediate Defense Weapon(s)

These can be Tactical Flashlights, Pepper Spray, Kubotan, etc.

This can be a wide variety of defense weapons. Intermediate weapons are defensive weapons designed to be non-lethal. Please do not understand this, this doesn't mean that they can't be lethal, this only means that they were not originally designed to be lethal.

The primary design of a Intermediate Weapon is two fold; by you time to gain safe access to a primary or secondary weapon, or buy you time to allow you to get to safety.

Visit our Intermediate Defense Weapons Page for more details.

Wallet with Cash

Dummy, Spare, Secondary, or Extra Wallet

Exactly what it sounds like.

The “Dummy Wallet” can also be called the “False” or “Second” Wallet. If you are  attacked and the attacker(s) demands your wallet, the is the wallet that you give up, not the one with the items that are difficult to replace. It can also be used to distract your assailant, by throwing the wallet on the ground away from your exit, or even directly at your attacker(s). Anything in order to distract the attacker(s) long enough for you to make your save exit.

This is not to say that there isn’t any money in your Dummy Wallet, in fact, it is a good idea to try and make it look as real as you can with cash and maybe a few expired credit cards, and few other items that can easily be replaced. This way, they are less likely to follow you.
